Parasite. No, Not The President. The Film.

Headlines:

"Trump isn't pleased a South Korean film won best-picture Oscar"

"Donald Trump rips 'Parasite' over historic Oscar wins"

Is it really any surprise that he doesn't like it?  Of course not.  We've known for some time now that not only is Donald Trump totally illiterate, very likely has attention-deficit disorder and does NOT like to read, and given that Parasite is a foreign language film WITH subtitles, yeah, of course he hates it.
Pretty sure some of his favorite works of literature include such best sellers as "Where The Wild Things Are", and "Good Night, Moon", books that keep his attention for upwards to 5 minutes with lots of bright, colorful pictures!

(Think large format picture books)

-----------

Oscars for Parasite, 2019:

  1. Best Picture

  2. Best Director, Bong Joon Ho

  3. International Feature Film, South Korea

  4. Best Original Screenplay

And, of course, the much bigger question, how, as President of the United States in 2020, how does he have time to critique and offer ANY opinion about ANYTHING pertaining to Hollywood?  How does that work?  And, why, is that important to Him?  Not sure how that, any of that pertains to "upholding the Constitution."

Again, just because you CAN have an opinion, doesn't mean you SHOULD have an opinion. It's just exhausting!

No Brainer. No Bueno.

Retired Marine General John Kelly speaking to The Atlantic about Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman,
“He did exactly what we teach them to do from cradle to grave…We teach them, Don’t follow an illegal order.  And if you’re ever given one, you’ll raise it to whoever gives it to you that this is an illegal order, and then tell your boss.” – Former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.

And then there's this from, you guessed it, the Blabber-Mouth-in-Chief, flabby Donald Trump:

So, who's calling the kettle black, Flabby, er, uh, Donny?  Hmm?

We Now Officially Have A Tyrant In The White House

February 12, 2020:
It's official.  We now have a tyrant in the White House.

Jonathan Kravis resigned his position as an assistant U.S. attorney.
Aaron Zelinsky quit the case, and his job in Washington D.C. to go back to his job as a federal prosecutor in Baltimore, MD.
Adam Jed, a former member of Robert Mueller's team, resigned.
Michael Marando, he resigned late Tuesday evening.

None of the original prosecutors in Roger Stone's criminal case signed onto the revised sentencing memo, which argued for a reduced sentence.

The Justice Department, head by Bill Barr, yes, a Trump ally, stepped in to dramatically reduce Stone's prison time, as yet another Trump ally.

Smells kinda fishy, right?

So, what does lil Donny Trump do, in a move that be believes puts him ahead of His mess?
Simple.  He makes a public statement:
"I would be able to do it if I wanted. I have the absolute right to do it.  I stay out of things to a degree that people wouldn't believe, but I didn't speak to them."  ('Them' being Attorney General Bill Barr, or the Justice Department.)

Kind of one of those times when just because you CAN, doesn't mean you SHOULD. Sort of falls into that category.

The prosecutors wrote in the court papers that "Stone's actions were not a one-off mistake in judgement" and that he "decided to double- and triple-down on his criminal conduct by tampering with a witness for months in order to make sure his obstruction would be successful."

Stone was due to face between 7 to 9 years in Federal prison for lying to Congress and other crimes such as the witness tampering, etc.

Over the weekend of February 8 & 9, 2020, Trump fired Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Semyon Vindman and his twin brother Lieutenant Colonel Yevgeny Vindman, as well as Diplomat Gordon Sondland from their positions.  Retaliation for their testimony against him.  Clearly, and obviously.
----------
Donny seems to think and believe that Atty. Gen. Billy "Tubby" Barr is his personal attorney, rather than the attorney general for the people of the United States.
That's how things work in Trumpland/Trump World.
These types of moves by the Justice Department and well, Trump himself, are things that we all too often see in countries run by monarchs, tyrants, "Presidents for life", dictatorships... you get the idea.

And now, here we are in the United States of America, 2020.

Happy Valentine's Day, people.

------ More ------
Senator Susan Collins: (not verbatim) "I believe the President has learned his lesson and won't repeat the actions that got him impeached."

From the mouths of, well, incredibly naive Republican Senators spews b.s.

As any parent knows, if you don't nip bad behavior in the bud, of course it will get repeated.  And so go the actions of a delicate, fat, pompous, arrogant, narcissistic, obese toddler of a man.
Yes, of course, I'm talking about Donald Trump.  For God's sake, wake up. Pay attention.

And of course all the stories about his rantings and ravings about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING he deems, "bad behaviors" on the parts of others are true ones.
Just because he CAN have an opinion, doesn't mean he SHOULD have an opinion.

Here's a thought, and I'm just thinking out-loud and off-the-cuff now, but, just what if, what if he were to stay seated IN that leather chair AT that amazing resolute desk IN the Oval Office and actually DO SOME WORK?  A little light reading of an intelligence report?

No, we can't have that and besides, he can't sit still long enough to not speak and actually think about his job? Not possible.  And actually learn something at the same time?  Oh, dear Lord, no!
And, yes, of course he's illiterate.  Ever actually listen to his word salad garbled pablum?
He's, well, incoherent.

----------Fine Print-------
Please, PLEASE wake up, pay attention, and think long and hard about your voting rights in November 2020, because the sad truth is that those rights for many right here in the U.S. already DO NOT exist due to gerrymandering (look it up), exclusion and removal from voting rolls, poll closures, last minute rule changes and so on, making even getting to the polls for many simply impossible.

And that doesn't even address the on-going Russian interference that Robert Mueller DID point out in his testimony to Congress, fake Facebook ads (promoted by its boy-king Zuckerberg/Zucker-bot), and online Russian and other bots.

It's your CHOICE to vote or not, but remember as well, it's also your RIGHT, and this guy, Donald John Trump senior and his cronies, WILL DO ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to make sure those rights disappear or become null and void.

Acquitted. Not removed. Or exonerated.

The Senate, pretty much along party lines (Mitt Romney of Utah voted with the Democrats), voted today, Wednesday, February 5, 2020 (Black History Month, by the way) to acquit Pres. Donald J. Trump of both Articles of Impeachment:

1) Abuse of Power (soliciting a foreign power -- the Ukraine -- to interfere in 2020 elections by investigating Joe & Hunter Biden), and
2) Obstruction of Congress (by not providing documents or witnesses)

Keep in mind, though, that he's still been impeached.  The Senate voted to acquit him of those charges, but he is not exonerated, meaning, he's still guilty.  That part will never change.

And what, if anything, did Donald Trump learn from this move by the Senate?  He learned, rather quickly, that he can pretty much say/do anything he wants and there are no consequences for those words or actions.
It's pretty naive for even one Republican to suggest that, "...he's learned his lesson."  No. No, he hasn't.

And why won't Mitch address Trump's conduct?  Simple, he needs Daddy to help him get re-elected later in 2020 in his Senate race in Kentucky.  Very simple.
Stay tuned...

S.O.T.U. 2020

Donald J. Trump Campaign:
"Promises Made. Promises Kept."

NO.

Republicans, pay attention.  You wanted this and begged for it.  Now, he's your problem.
Oh, and make no mistake -- you will pay for this betrayal of your constituents and The Constitution.  Some of you will pay at the ballot box in November 2020.  Others, in 2021 and 2022.

Breakfast Laziness?

You’ve seen these commercials online or on TV.  Daily Harvest.  www.DailyHarvest.com/

The actress makes a random comment about how, I never had time for breakfast until I found/discovered Daily Harvest.”
Okay, let’s go with that.  She’s clearly in her late 20s to mid-30s, millennial likely, and just after this shot, she’s seen with her smartphone texting someone.  Here’s a thought:  Put DOWN your phone, crack open a couple of eggs and make some toast.  Pretty sure even you can handle that.  But maybe not.  Her phone is probably just TOO important to set on the counter for 15 minutes.  THAT’S how important she is.
Oh look!  Now he can be a lazy millennial, too! Because we all KNOW, millennials can ONLY eat food from boxes delivered directly to them at home.  Otherwise, it’s poison, right?
And here she is WITH her breakfast smoothie in hand. NOW she’s ready to face the day.  Because, again, she NEVER had time for a regular, sit-down meal, in this case breakfast, BEFORE she found Daily Harvest!
A few different, MUST-HAVE, varieties of Daily Harvest breakfasts… delivered TO YOUR HOME, so you can eat like a VERY BUSY millennial, too!

**Note: Now, is this really about Daily Harvest?  Of course not.  And yes, LOTS of sarcasm here.  I have no idea how they taste, how much they cost, the process of making these from the items enclosed in each package… none of that.  I do, however, make breakfast, from scratch, every single day. Not that hard. Doesn’t take that long. Just about 15 minutes total.  And in case you’re wondering, nope, I’m not a millennial and I don’t have the, apparent, pressure on myself to NOT eat breakfast until I magically discover something like Daily Harvest.

Sadly, with this particular type of marketing, Daily Harvest reinforces what older generations already know and experience from millennials:  Lazy, arrogant, entitled, pampered, coddled… yes, I’ll stop here because it would be way too easy to continue.

Hey, maybe Daily Harvest is worth trying.  Who knows?
