"Tough Guys" Need To Pull Up Their Big-Boy Pants And Be Adults

These "tough guys" (and some women) around the country blatantly defying shelter-in-place, home confinement and quarantine orders simply so that they can "live their lives" are 1) Being incredibly arrogant, self-absorbed and frankly, kinda stupid, as well as,
2) Putting others' lives at risk with little or no regard for human life.

I think we ALL understand the need, the desire to "live our lives", as much as we can, every single day... but, right now is NOT the time or place for defying those quarantine orders.

Sure, we've heard from state governors, and city mayors and even some members or Congress about how, well, people want to get out of their homes and live.  Agreed. No arguments there.  But if those same people are really looking closely at their cities and states, they'll notice that NOT all residents ARE following even the simplest distancing and mask wearing orders at the local level.

So, what does this mean?  I'm glad you asked.  At the most basic level, it means President Fat Orange Man, i.e., Donald J. Trump, has done his job in sewing discord and distrust of:

  • The Media-at-large
  • Democrats
  • Some Republicans
  • Healthcare Professionals, many of whom are in his own administration
  • Law Enforcement Professionals
Sadly, those same "tough guys" will have to get the virus, some will end up in an ICU, others will require ventilators, and some will die because they're "tough guys" who can just weather any storm and handle anything.

It frightens me to see this, whether you are one of His supporters or not.  If we can't trust our scientists and medical professionals, who can we trust?

Certainly, not the current administration and, "Believe me. Only I can fix things."

If those "tough guys" were really tough as they say, they'd pull up those big-boy pants and show more feelings than anger and horniness.  Maybe compassion, empathy, understanding, along with listening and hearing.  'Nuff said.
